About the Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Bred in the Black Country from bull-and-terrier stock, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier was selected for extreme people-friendliness alongside physical courage. The result is a dog that adores human company and is often unsuitable for multi-dog households without careful management. They are short-coated, powerful and far more sensitive than their reputation suggests. Staffies are among the most commonly abandoned breeds in UK rescues, so consider adoption first.
